Playing Deal or No Deal on your Wii is like watching the TV show in many ways, but less exciting in others. A good part of the excitement on the show is the different personalities and Howie's comments to the people and all the silliness. The voice of Howie Mandel is real in the game, but there's no way to have the interaction and the give and take that you have on the show. That said, if you were playing the game with other people in the room watching in 1 player mode, or playing one of the custom games with up to 5 players, the conversation on your end might supply the party atmosphere that you see on the show.

Everything is otherwise much like it is on the show, with the audience, the banker, etc. and you can play with your Mii which I thought was kind of a nice touch. The one thing I was not impressed with is the graphics. Howie looks similar to the real Howie, but there are lots of ragged edges to the graphics. They should be smooth. I'm playing on a big screen TV and using component cables, but the graphics were rough enough that I went back to check my settings to make sure that I had it set to 480p instead of 480i. For me, graphics in a Wii game don't have to be fancy, but the ragged edges are distracting. Maybe on a smaller screen it would be less noticeable. I posted some photos under the customer images, but it's kind of hard to see since they reduce the size here, but have a look anyway.

There are several options in the custom games that can be played with up to 5 players. There's a Special Event where you can have from 2 to 13 $1,000,0000 cases. There are also challenges in the 1 player mode like the Variety Ladder where your play one game of each special event type and try to win as much as you can, or Risky Business where you have to win increasingly larger amounts to keep playing. In the Banker's Challenge you play 3 games in a row against computer opponents where the first game is against one, the second against 2 and the third against 3. Again, you try to win as much as possible.

There are some mini games included such as Sharpshooter where you shoot the cases, Blackjack which plays like the card game but instead of 21 you're playing to $2,100 and instead of cards, you're dealt cases. There's also a Marathon that has you playing each mini-game in random order, trying to score as much cash as you can. It's probably good that they have the mini-games since playing Deal or No Deal would get boring after a while.

All in all, I think for the price it's a reasonably good game except I wish the graphics were more smoothly rendered. I think it would be a good game at a party, even with only one player at a time because the interaction would make it more like the TV show. If you like Deal or No Deal on TV you'll probably like this game.

There is no question about the success of game shows. While we've seen more great game shows on television at night with the appeal of Are You Smasrter Than A 5th Grader? for Fox, and recently with Million Dollar Password for Regis Philbin. But that definitely started back in 2005, with the highly-addictive Deal Or No Deal. For Howie Mandel, he definitely showcased that he could be more than just a standout funny comedian, he could become a game show icon. But, when it has came down to Deal Or No Deal, as a whole, they had the most trouble with trying to see a contestant break the bank until this past September, when a expecting mother finally won $1 Million. Now, that feeling has come to the Nintendo Wii.

Deal Or No Deal for the Nintendo Wii brings the hit NBC game show to the Wii's eyes. The graphics look good, as you try to go all the way, picking your case, and gambling toward winning $1 Million against the banker. The gameplay is simple, and addictive for hard core fans, but the gameplay doesn't feel any different from other versions that were issued for the P.C. and for your DVD Players. While there are some simple additions to the game, like playing with your Mii's, and unlocking certain awards throughout the game, the game itself doesn't feel like it is as exciting as the game show has delivered at night. The control is simple and straight forward with the Wii, but overall, it just can't compare to each episode on NBC that feels more like it is fun.

All in all, Deal Or No Deal isn't as exciting or addictive as a game, as we've seen for the Nintendo Wii on game show video games like Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? was late last year. But all in all, it is a nice buy for hard core fans of Howie Mandel, but overall is something that you can definitely say no deal to, and hope for a better version of the game later on.

Deal or No DealDeal or No Deal for Wii is fun.Skill level is nice for all levels and great for all fitness groups. It takes no experience or action :)
A great game to have around for all ages. Im happy to have this game in
our home for company that stays the week end and just wants to hang around the house. No matter what the age there is no worry over anything
being said that would offend anyone or any blood letting zombies. It is also fun to see who has the "betting streak" and who will take the money and run. Most of all I would like to say Amazon was great to ship and take care of our order. Im so impressed with Amazon and how well they treat their customers and also the merchants that are in Amazon. Bravo!

Deal or No Deal is so much like the real television game. No matter who chose to be the contestant, either myself or one of my 5 oldest grandchildren, we all get so involved youn would think we were actually winning real money. You cannot tell us we are not on live TV in front of a million people winning real money. It is so much fun. Anyone can play no matter the age.

This game actually does the tv show justice. It's amazing how much of Howie Mandel's voice there are able to squeeze onto the cartridge. If your a fan of the show this is the best version for on the go players!!
The Real Deal

This game is the real deal. My kids and I love watching Deal or No Deal on TV and become very involved in the game -- especially as it winds down to the last couple of cases. To say we truly hold our breath would not be an exageration.

This PC game is an amazing recreation of that TV experience and Howie Mandel as the host really makes it special. But what is really the thing I want to note here is the create your own prize feature. We have had a blast filling the briefcases with our own prizes and have made a special Christmas game we will play with our cousins when the come to visit for the holidays.
Boring

I was really disappointed. The game takes too long to get through each round - I don't have time to listen to Howie chit chat. I also found that after I completed one game and shut off the system, the same cases had the same amounts when I played it again (hint: case 13 has the $1,000,000). That fact in itself is the reason I returned the game. If the bugs are fixed I might consider trying it again.
NO DEAL!

I read the review that said the winning case in his version was always 21. In our situation, it is always case 8. In fact, all the cases are the same each time you turn the game on. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. My next step will be to complain to the company...(UPDATE: The distributor acknowledged the problem, apologized, and promised to send my son a different game. That was months ago, and we never received anything).
