Great Product, but BEWARE MISCONCEPTION

Reviewer: M. Espino,
It's great that this comes with four battery packs. Less down time in between plays is a plus. This accessory lacks some of the features of slightly more expensive docks, like charging when you set the wiimote in its cradle. Still, this product is exactly what you need if you normally play with one or two controllers at a time. There are only two charging slots, so if you're planning 4-player action, you would have to charge ahead of time. The Wii I bought it for wasn't going to be used for more than two people, so this is perfect. Another plus is the blue led glow that matches your Wii disk slot, but can be turned off.

Also, note that none of the chargers I have seen, including this one, are compatible with the standard or motion plus jelly sleeves, which happen to be the best Wii accessory I have used so far. It's not as carefree as the pictures would have you think. Even induction chargers (the type that charge through contact plates whan you set them down) can't charge with an insulating cover on the back. If you use the rubber jackets, then no matter which dock you buy, you will always have to take the jacket off to charge the battery pack - which is every time you play.

So, great value, but don't be disappointed if you use rubber jackets.

This is a fantastically fast charger so that you never have to be out of juice. Your spare batteries are always charged. I'm sure that it's saing me a mint in regular batteries and convenience.
Operates well - but is NOT autorized for Wii - Nintendo says it terminates your warantee

I called Nintendo - they advised me the use of ANY RECHARGABLE BATTERY PACKS, will cancel your warantee. Only INDIVIDUAL RECHARGABLE BATTERIES are authorized under their warantee-
Nintendo Wii Charger Dock with¿ 4 Battery Packs

It charges the batteries ok, but I don't like how you have to plug it into the Wii game console. Plus if you use the new covers for the remote, they no longer fit in the holders :( But you can charge two battery packs at once.
I would suggest just getting a good battery charger for rechargable AA batteries, this way you can keep batteries charged for your remotes as well as your balance board if you have one.
Finally I can save money on batteries

This charger is not what it says. Yes it comes with 4 batteries, but it says it charges and docks 2 remotes and 2 extra batteries. It only charges the 2 batteries in the back. The remotes are only in a holder and the holder doesn't even fit the remote it it is wearing the jacket or even with the strap. I'm returning it and trying something else.
