Fun, but limited longterm play

My family bought this to play over the holidays, and it is fun for the first few rounds. We're all big Disney fans, and the main challenge for us were a heavy reliance on some of the less popular Disney films such as "Treasure Planet," "The Great Mouse Detective," "Atlantis," "The Emperor's New Groove," and "The Rescuers Down Under." We seemed to get more questions about these films than the popular and beloved films.
The questions are all about traditionally animated feature films. Although you play with the classic Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, etc.) there are no questions about them, nor are there questions about non-animated Disney films, Disney cartoons, Disney Channel television shows, theme parks, or Pixar films. However there are a few questions that have almost nothing to do with Disney, usually ridiculously easy. (i.e. "What might the moon orbit?" and the answer is a picture of the earth, but the other pictures aren't planets.) This seems a waste when they could have broadened the scope of the questions.
Another oddity is that although you enter your profile name, it doesn't seem to have any relevance--you can't save your profile to select for use later and your name doesn't appear in the game (you're just "player 1," "player 2," etc.)
As another reviewer pointed out, one thoughtful feature is that you can use the nunchucks for additional players if they're connected to Wii remotes. (So for a two player game, you could use the Wii remote and a nunchuck).
The game seems limited in terms of longterm play--after playing a few times we started getting repeat questions, and after about 6-7 games each round had about five questions we'd seen before. There are a good variety of different random rounds you can get which keeps it interesting, but the Genie--the game's host--has the same script for each which is fun the first time or two you hear it, but get repetitive and makes the pace of the game drag (and you can't skip them). There is good balance in terms of points, so someone in last place in round three can jump to first in round four, even if he or she was way behind.
You are limited to just four locations for the game, and will sometimes have a guest star from the corresponding movie, but it always seems to be the same character (and a lot of the questions were the same). Seems they could have added more settings, or a broader variety of guest stars. You do get rewards for coming in first in a multiplayer game--an optional costume peice for the character you were using, but only one per character for each of the four settings. The solo game will unlock additional characters.
Bottomline--for a family game you play once in a while, this is a pretty good buy for Disney fans. But if you're a big Disney trivia fan looking for a challenge, you'll probably be disappointed. |
Fun for Disney Lovers of all Ages

| As big Disney fans we knew this was a must play game. We had a great time as a family playing this game. Important note for the Wii-your nunchuk can be used as an individual controller when connected to a wii-mote allowing all four of us to play despite the fact we only own three wii-motes. A family of 4 with two wiimotes and nunchuks could then still all play. I thought this was a great feature. The 8 yr old found the game amusing enough to play alone against the computer players. You choose how well you know Disney allowing a more customized game. We found the questions to be pretty easy which made being fast an important part of gameplay. Think of this as a faster paced Disney Scene It game. |
Fun, but ...

This is a fun game for the whole family; however, the selection of the difficulty level is somehwat frustrating. Each player is asked to set a difficulty level of "A Lot", "Some", or "A Little" based on their Disney knowledge. It seems that the game uses the players' difficulty level selection to create a mix of some moderate to difficult Disney trivia questions with some very trivial questions. The end result is that the difficult questions frustrated the novice players and the trivial ones frustrate the more advanced players.
In order to allow players at all levels to play together there may be no way around this shortcoming; however, more frustrating is the fact that even if all players select "A Lot", the game still throws in some of the trivial questions. Trivial questions are of the form "Which of the following cannot fly?" which displays three pictures of birds and one of a fish. |

Slow, boring, and not very creative - especially slow though. There is way too much Genie (the host) and no way to turn him off or skip through him - after every single question..........
Talk about "buyers remorse". |
Good Family Fun Game for the Wii

This game is great for Disney fans - my 3 year old, my 18 year old, and even my non-disney fan hubby enjoy playing this together.
It is for 1-4 players (only 2 remotes w/nun chucks are needed for 4 players).
It includes Disney trivia as well as simplistic basic trivia questions for the little ones.
There are different modes of play - so whether you have a short amount of time to sit down and play, or a bit longer, the game has you covered. |
Think Fast...Wii Gamers

Disney's Think Fast is a pretty fun game. Some of the questions are repetitive but overall its a fun experience. There are some questions that are too easy and I don't think they should be in the game because they really have nothing to do with Disney movies but hey it's aimed towards kids.
Most of the game is really fun because you get to answer lots of trivia questions in the form of true and false, multiple choice, and mini games. You also get to watch clips from your favorite disney movies and you get asked questions about the scenes that you just watched, you get to pick where you want to play at (Lilo and Stitch is my favorite) including lilo and stich, 101 dalmatians, little mermaid and Lion King which makes you feel like you're in complete control, and you get to pick you own characters to play as and earn extra items for them including hats and sunglasses. There are also a few characters to unlock once you hit enough points during gameplay.
Overall I think this game is very fun and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sometimes the questions get very repetitive if you play it alot and some of the questions are just too simple. This game is geared towards kids but it is also just as fun for adults. If you like trivia games and you like disney movies then I think you'll like this game. It's well worth $30. |

| A big Disney family here and this was a perfect addition to our Wii games. You can decide the length of short, medium and long depending on how long youwant to play. You can have one to four players. There are different games and appeals to all age groups. There is one game that all of us did not like and that was the one where there are six answers in a circle and each answer is highlighted. You have to click to get on the "correct" answer. That is hard to do! |
Great for the Whole Family

| i don't know why some gave this game a poor review. no it's not super-duper gamer action....but it is meant for whole family participation and it is lots of fun and can easily entertain everyone in the family at any age. It is a little slow moving with the set up....as you can't just go straight to the 'game' part.....but the kids have a blast with it!!!! |

| I'm not a big game player, but I love Disney, so this makes it fun to play with family and friends. There are several ways to play. This brings us all together, (and I don't even always win, even with my Disney knowledge). :) |
