Product Description |
|
The new BOSS Dual Pack is a two pack of plastic, ergonomic grips that clips securely on top of a Wii Remote with enlarged action buttons and an enlarged D-pad that are activated by pass through mechanisms. The BOSS provides a better ergonomic shape to retain that "classic feel" that ties into the nostalgia of classic gaming when the Wii Remote is being used as a classic controller. The BOSS is perfect for the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii, as well as Punch Out Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, all Nintendo Virtual Console games and much more.

Great extra large controller!

This is a pretty good controller. I'm 21 years old at the time of this writing, and can easily wrap my hands around this shell. It looks nice and feels much better than the naked Wii remote, or even the Wii remote with the jacket. The controller locks in very securely to prevent any wiggle room or falling out. I've been plaing NEW Super Mario Bros. Wii with it with no complaints. The only problem is that you have to press the buttons a bit harder than you would the naked Wii remote, but only because the buttons are extended. It's not dramatic, it'll just take a small adjustment period.
The Boss Controller Shell Love it!

I've never been a video game player but after hearing all the positive stories about the Wii I decided to splurge. When I was playing the sports I didn't encounter any problems but when I started playing super Mario Brothers I realised I had to hold the button to make the character move for a long time and after I played my thumb had a dent in it!!! That went away of course but it did make my finger sore. I went to a game store and explained what I needed and I was shown the Boss Controller Shell. Looked good to me and wasn't expensive. I took it home and started playing and noticed an immediate improvement with the comfort of my hands. I have arthritis and that doesn't help but the larger buttons were easy to hold down and the shape of the shell helped too. I am ordering 2 more now because my husband stole mine!!!!
Best Wii Accessory

This has to be the best Wii accessory to date. I use this for Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart and the new Punch Out. I have never heard of this company before but they really do make a quality product. I keep my Wii-remotes in these cases all the time now. All the buttons respond just as quickly as if the case was not on and the weight of the remote and case is a little heavy but not a deal buster. Buying from Amazon always seems to have the better deals than going to your local gamespot or bestbuy.
Innovation meets nostalgia

These snap on shells are the first ones I've ever used that don't feel like a Wii controller snapped into a cheap piece of plastic. These have a spring loaded piece that keeps it secure, but removing is also a breeze. These are often way play better than the classic controller from Wii. Sure it doesn't have as many buttons, but often most of those buttons aren't used anyways. It is a blast to use with the new Super Mario Wii, and is more importantly comfortable in your hand. I was skeptical at first, but now own three and will buy a fourth to round off the set.

I bought this item for my daughter, she was thrilled! She told me they were really awsome and since they came as a pair, my grandaughter is loving them too.

Awesome I would hate to play the new Mario Bros Game without this controller addition, it seriously makes the game.
Wii Boss Dual Pack

These Boss controlers are much more comfortable to use than the standard Wii controlers. They just feel better to hold for long periods of time. I've tried using the newest soft covers while playing Super Mario but the Boss improves my game play. They are well made and they appear to be made to last.
What an interesting product!

I bought these as a recent video game deal of the day. Price was good and they're fun to play with. I think they might be a little big for small children, but they're definitely great for my boyfriend - he has HUGE hands!
Wii Boss Control Attachment

This item is another one of my favorites to use with the wii gaming system. In my house we chose not to purchase the video game comptrollers separately (too expensive). The game play with the basic Wii controller for the classic games such as "Samurai Showdown" was difficult and uncomfortable. So considering the pricing for this item we knew we has nothing to loose. The item was awesome!!! It only needed a wii remote to snap into the attachment (so no need to purchase extra controllers), was way comfortable for the hands and wrists, same old school game play feel, and the colors made it easier to distinguish player 1 from 2 (when you have group game play... you know you loose you pass it type thing). I even played with the attachment for Mario Kart Wii and prefer it over the steering wheel attachment (that was shock for me). In short... a great item for a great price. I strongly recommend to any Wii user.
Better but not perfect

Is it better than just using the wii mote by itself? Yes. Is it as comfortable as a super nintendo controller? No. The wii mote byitself is quite small, so this was an improvement, you hand hands can play longer without cramping. But it is a little large and causes a different type of cramping, but you can last much longer on a game than without the BOSS. The only gripe I have is that the "plus" and "minus" button become pretty non responsive with this shell. You really have to push really hard to get those buttons to be activated. The directionaly buttons work perfectly. The "1" and "2" button get a little used to. Because they are staggered rather than right next to each other, your best performance comes when you push the 1 button on the shell near the top and the 2 button near the bottom. Enlarge the product photo to see what I am talking about. With that being said, it took only 1 minute to get used to that. And while you can't see it in the photo, your pointer at the top of the wii mote still functions (see through plastic on the shell). I paid under $10 bux and that was worth it.
