Solid protection for your Wii Balance Board

After seeing some of the reviews, I was afraid that this product might be flimsy, but I ordered it anyway as the price made it worth a try compared to some of the other covers. When I first took it out of the package, it did indeed look like it might be flimsy, but I took my time placing it on my balance board - and it was not hard to install at all! I use my Wii Fit for at least 30 minutes every day and have not had any problems with the cover at all. It stays firmly in place and even provides a little cushion and extra "grippage" as I work through yoga, strength exercises, aerobics, and balance games. I usually workout in my bare feet (I'm the only one using the board), but have worn sneakers a few times without any ill effect to the cover other than scuff marks, which clean up easily. The color is paler and more translucent than it appears in the photo - and I am very pleased with the way it looks. The most important thing is that it does a great job of protecting and preserving the balance board.

| As soon as I tried to stretch this over the balance board, it ripped! Cheap quality...not worth it! |

| This product is incredibly thin. The silicone ripped when trying to place onto the WiiFit board. A good idea, but look for another manufacturer. This one is very cheaply made. |

This sleeve is so thin that it ripped the first time I used it. Thankfully Amazon immediately refunded my money. Stay away from this piece of junk.
The couple of reviewers that rated this 5 stars either work for the company that made it or have not used it more than a day. |

| This has been great so far! It went on the balance board really easy and fits snugly. Keeps the balance board clean. I also use the board with bare feet and this is a great non-slip cover. It's also very convenient because it doesn't cover the battery pack, so it's still easy to change out the batteries and sync to a different Wii if you need to. |

| Horrible product, threw it out. It fits too loosely and moves around. Makes the Fit less stable and less accurate |
Sweaty Feet

| The silicone cover made my feet sweat and therefore I removed the cover. On removal, one corner ripped. A good idea, poorly produced. |
Probably not needed

I thought this might be a good idea to have on the board but am disappointed in it. It is fairly thin and ripped a little just getting it on.
My kids use the board and all the movement has ripped it even more.
It is still on my fit board but only until it rips enough and becomes to loose to do any good. I won't be replacing it. |
Really Shoddy - Don't Buy

| I very carefully pulled this thing over the board, and it ripped. It's really shoddily made. Having a newborn around the house, I only got around to seeing about getting my money back 30 days after I got it - too late, I guess. Just a warning not to buy this. |
Keeps it clean!

I shopped around for several different covers and styles for the wii fit balance board, and this one takes the cake. I don't feel like it changes the "feel" of the games like the bumpy/textured ones do, and it definitely feels stronger and more secure than other silicone sleeves out there (we checked out at least five similar-looking ones in the stores). It hasn't affected sensitivity at all, and best of all keeps the board clean and dust free (we live in a carpeted house).
The silicone is comfortable to sit on, and is especially useful for the strength exercises that involve putting your hands/ankles/elbows on the board. It is much more comfortable having the silicone cover there. The only downside is that it does slip a bit when you lean on it at an extreme angle, but this is rare (even in the warrior pose) and it is not enough to make me worried about slippage or rippage.
As for durability and fit, I was fairly careful when putting it on, and haven't had any need to remove it since then. It has "pegs" that fit into the holes in the bottom of the board, creating a snug and secure fit. While I have heard other reviewers talk about it ripping, I have used it quite vigorously, and my 200-lb husband also does all the exercises on it. I will update this review if anything does happen, but right now it's hard to imagine how mine would rip at all. I hope this helps! |
