I have a 6 year old son I play a lot of games with, and the Wii is one of our consoles. This controller is SO much easier for him to hold in his little hands, especially for things like frisbee golf and bowling and such. He plays better because it's not so long and awkward for his reach. The motion plus accessory still snaps in just fine, and of course the non standard color is a big hit for any 6 year old.
Had no problems whatsoever pairing it with the console, it acts just like any other controller, just much better for smaller hands. Great job by the designers. |

| We purchased this for our 3 year old so she could enjoy the Wii with us. It links up great, hooks up to the motion plus, and is small enough for her to maintain her grip. She has dropped it a few times (as expected) and it still works perfectly. She also likes playing with us now, before the normal control was simply too big for her to use. I would recommend this for kids under 6 since our 6 year old uses the other one fine. The only drawback so far is it is slightly too small for some of the attachments (like the golf clubs or frisbee), but she can't quite grasp those games yet anyway. |
good idea, but doesn't work

| We have had the wii mote for about a month. It is great....when it is working. The whole time we are playing games, it will pause and say that "communication is interrupted." Then in a minute it will start up again?? Now this morning the playchuk stopped working at all. This is increasingly frustrating to a 5 year old....and his mother!! When it's working, I really like it; but I'm returning it. |

| I thought this was a good idea for my 5 year old daughter, but dont waste your money, for one thing it wont fit the wii battery packs so you better have lots of AAA batteries on hand. the main reason i give this the junk award is the fact that we have had it over a month and still cant get it to work. all it does is make the four lights flash. very disappointed in this product. its not even worth the trouble to send it back. youd loose half of what you paid just in shipping. |
Good remote for kids

This remote works great and the kids love it. IT DOES FIT THE MOTION PLUS SENSOR....MY BAD (EARLIER I SAID IT DIDNT BUT, I WAS WRONG)
Other than that we love it.
Oh, it took a really long time to process the order. |

When it has came down to the Nintendo Wii, there have been many companies who've been trying to capture the Wii train by making Third-party accessories that just haven't been able to deliver the drive. For Icon, which has already made lackluster controllers for the Nintendo Wii, is trying to do it again by making their remotes a bit more kid-friendly to appeal. Their latest concept, the Wii Kid Friendly Remote, brings in a shocking pink color onto the Nunchuck and their remote for the Wii. While the concept to them might be strong, it still falters after awhile, and doesn't really still showcase the stamina that the ones that Nintendo have drawn in, that makes the games strong and easy to play. Overall, while the price might make it more convient to gamers on a budget, I still honestly would recommend Nintendo's Wii-mote & Nunchuck overall.
