Not the Nintendo version

I mistakenly thought this was the same as the wheel that came with Mario Kart. It is NOT, and that wheel is better - it has a trigger-like button for the B button.

This wheel make removal of the controller a bit more difficult to boot (you have to push from both ends, vs. the Wii wheel which will release the controller by simply pushing on the hole in the back where you put the strap).

The wheel will still work ok, and I do not plan on buying another Wii wheel to replace it, but if you can, just buy the Wii wheel.
Get the official wheel!

This wheel is very similar to the wheel that comes with Mario Kart, but there is no button cover for the B button! If you are trying to play manual and power slide, good luck! It feals like it's broken right from the package! Go with the official version!
Works, and fun too!

What can I say other than it works. It's a wheel for the WII. I bought it with Excite Truck and we had a lot of fun with the game. Currently there aren't too many good quality racing games for the WII so you might not have a lot of options for its use at first, but that will change over time. I recommend it though as it definitely makes racing games more fun.
Well Designed

Good construction and feel. Has hole for Wii onscreen pointing on side which some others don't. Controller fits well without scratching. Improved the fun of racing.
Works great, but not too comfortable

My husband bought me this wheel along with Excite Truck for Christmas last year (the official Wii Wheel wasn't available). It's really fun and works well, but I find that I get raw spots on my fingers from the rough seam around the edge of the wheel. Probably nothing a little sandpaper couldn't take care of.

The trick to getting the wiimote into the wheel is to line it up exactly and push the wiimote straight in. If you try to go at an angle (put one side in and then the other) it won't go. It's a very snug fit.

4 stars instead of 5 because it does have a few minor issues and the official wheel is cheaper.
Poor substitute

This wheel is absolutely abysmal. It plays just fine, but the process of putting the remote in and taking it out is frightening at best.

The 2nd time I tried putting the remote in, I was in fear of breaking the remote, the wheel (wouldn't be as heartbreaking), or both. It SNAPS into the wheel in a most disquieting way that doesn't lend itself well to something that you get "used to."

That said, the Nintendo wheel can be found for the same price (or sometimes cheaper on Amazon!). I've purchased 3 additional Nintendo wheels that allow the remotes to slide in gently without any forcing or requiring any "working with."

Avoid this wheel at all cost.
Generic Steering wheel a good Cheap substitute for WII

Reviewer: Oscar Ramirez,
I bought this on Cyber Monday and at $2.95 a piece it was definetely a steal. I'm not sure what the price is now, but I would not pay more than $6.99 or $7.99 for it. The official Wii Wheel is a lot nicer, but these days paying $9.99 or $14.99 for that accesory is a lot. The only draw- back is that the slot for the Wii-mote is a little snug and it is kinda a pain to put in and take out the Wii-mote. Would I recommend this item? Yes, but only if you can get it on the cheap. If the official Wii-Wheel is only a $1.00 or $2.00 more, I say buy that one.
BUY THE REAL WHEEL!

This thing sucks. Like many other reviews posted I concur that the lack of the B button on the back makes this wheel a drag. It has from the very feel of it as being cheap. Also, I was afraid I was going to break my $40 remote on a $10 wheel just to put it in. I am returning it to get the real one. Yeah, you can put up with the crappiness, but a couple of dollars makes a huge difference in the game experience.
handy

I don't understand all the 1 star reviews. the control works the same as the regular wii wheel (we use both with mario kart) sure this one doesn't have a button for the b but its just as easy to hit the b button itself with this wheel. Also the wii control slides in easy for me once the wrist strap is removed, and there is a small indent in the back of the wheel to aid in removal.

Great deal at black friday for about $3, works well thusfar.

CarsThe Micro Wheel sort of gives you the feel of the car. It makes holding on the controller much easier and removes the possibility of dropping the WII remote. I use it for Cars and makes it alot of fun. Good buy.
